Camp We-No-Wheeze

Camp We-No-Wheeze is a camp for kids with asthma.

What is Camp We-No-Wheeze?
Camp is an opportunity to enjoy recreation, fun, sharing and learning for children who have a common condition....asthma. Download brochure.

Campers will realize, "I'm not alone with my asthma - other kids have it too!" The children learn how to take an active role in managing their asthma.

Who can attend?
Any child, ages 7-12, who has seasonal, moderate or severe asthma may participate.

Camp We-No-Wheeze Staff
Medical direction will be provided 24 hours-a-day by a primary care physician, respiratory care practitioners, registered nurses and counselors trained to care for children with asthma.

What will we do at Camp?
Each participant will learn details about how they can take better care of themselves through asthma education programs. Education includes:

  • What is asthma
  • Early warning signs
  • Asthma triggers
  • Medication use and peak flow meters
  • Feelings about asthma
  • Asthma action plan

Emphasis is placed on managing asthma and keeping active. Activities may include:

  • Outdoor games
  • Swimming
  • Hiking
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Team Contests
  • Great Food

  • Registration is limited to 40 campers and subject to approval by the Camp Medical Director before attending. Your registration fee will be refunded if your child is not accepted.
  • After the July 4th deadline, we will send you health forms that will require a visit to your doctor.
